In loving memory of Champion Mayfield Evening Star
After working for quite some time to prove myself in the show ring with my dogs, I began the search for a lovely bitch that I could take into the show ring. I was thrilled to be offered Mayfield Evening Star ('Eve") by Marilyn Mayfield. My kennel finally had its Adam and Eve!
Eve settled into the household immediately. She was full of puppy antics and she ruled the home in short order. I enjoyed taking Eve into the show ring -- she was an animated and striking cavalier with great movement and structure. The judges loved her, and she gained her title more quickly than any cavalier in Arizona (she still holds the record!).
Eve was full of curiousity, and was constantly exploring the large desert backyard with its many plants, trees and boulders. She had geckos and ground squirrels to chase, and I could often see her chasing around having a grand time!
She is gone now, but I remember her fondly. Rest in peace, my little Evening Star. You will always shine bright in my thoughts and in my heart.
